Let's keep it simple. .

Keeping it simple is what it's all about. Getting back to basics and back to life as it used to be. It's not a bad thing. I love technology but I also know how it consumes my day to day life and all of a sudden I realise I haven't spoken to a human being for far too long, let alone felt the sun on my face and the wind in my hair.
Sometimes we all just need to take a step back.

That is what this site is about.

Balance.

I have developed a set of guidelines to help you in your move towards your own Tec-Tox, be it for a day, an hour or a week.

about
My name is Mia. I am a mid-life crisis girl! Yup, It's true.

Back at University studying and exploring life from a new direction. I do remember life without digital devices and a part of me yearned for the simplicity of those days.
I feel technology has given us such a rich life, but I also feel something has been lost....
I wanted to find out what!
This project started off quite simply driven by a University project I was working on. As part of my research I decided to take a week off all technology. I wanted to feel how it was and if there were benefits and what they were.

I went right back to basics. I documented my week in a Journal, which I am sharing with you all on the journal page. I also re-discovered my love of writing letters and the joy and connection this simple task can bring.

I learnt a lot about life without technology. I learnt a lot about me.
I remembered a lot more about me too, and those closest to me.

So, yes I am pro Tec-Tox, for whatever amount of time you can manage, I hope you can plan in some Tec-Tox time for yourself.
